A native of Edina, Julie passed away May 2nd.

She is survived by husband Bob, sons David (Lana), Robert (Gretchen), & John (Amy); daughter Maureen Bailey; grandchildren Allison, Kristian, Madeline, Birdjan, Charlie, Jack, Natalie & Will; great grandson Owen.

Julie was a graduate of St. Margaret’s Academy and graduated in 1955 from Marquette University with a B.S. in nursing. She was a member of Alpha Sigma Nu, National Jesuit Honor Society and Alpha Tau Delta. She was a former member of the AAUW, and treasurer of M.A.R. P. She was also a member of MACD and the League of Catholic Women.

Julie compiled a detailed family ancestry and was a member of the Minnesota Historical Society, Edina Historical Society and the Brown County Historical Society. She was the historian for the Woodland Beach Association on Bay Lake, a lake she started going to in 1936. She loved her lake home and great neighbors on Bay Lake.

Julie was a long time Blue Ridge Pottery collector and dealer. She was affectionately known as “The Blue Ridge Lady”. Julie thoroughly enjoyed her family, reading and precious time at the lake.

In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Crosby, MN. 56441

Visitation will be one hour prior to Mass. Private interment at Bay Lake Cemetery, Deerwood, Minnesota.
