Joyce (Halldeen) Carlson, passed away peacefully on December 14, 2021.
She was born in Minneapolis on October 19, 1930, attended South High School and lived in St Louis Park for 60+ years. Joyce worked at Honeywell, Hot Shots, and Peter Hobart Elementary.
Joyce is preceded in death by husband, Wilbert, parents Roy & Bernice, sisters Gloria, Vernette, Vivian and brother, Roy, Jr.
She is survived by nieces & nephews as well as many close friends.
Joyce was a member of the ASI, Vasa Order of America, the Dassel Scandinavian folk dance group, the SLP women’s club, the Lenox Sr Ctr and the Red Hat Society. She enjoyed traveling, sewing, her lake home, her Swedish heritage and even the Vikings.
Visitation 10:00 - 11:00 am, Monday, December 27 at Gearty-Delmore, 3960 Wooddale Ave S, St Louis Pk.
Service at 11:00, interment at Fort Snelling at 12:30.
Memorials to the American Swedish Institute.
Visitation one hour prior to the service.
Interment following at Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
