Joseph "Joe" C. Ward

Joe died unexpectedly at his home on September 24, 2019.  He was born April 11, 1954 in Kenton, Ohio to Avis and Richard Ward.

After high school he enlisted in the US Army and served in Germany.  He retired from Duke Energy following 38 years of service.  Joe was a technologically savvy person, he worked on all sorts of electronics, built computers and was happy to share his knowledge and help anyone he could.  He also was a huge racing fan and a remote control airplane enthusiast.

Joe is survived by his wife, Amy; children, Kristen (James) Sneltjes, Ricky and Emma; brother, Kent (Gretchen) Ward; sister, Karen (Larry) Croninger; parents-in-law, Nancy and Jeff Scholl; Amy’s brother and sisters, Michael Scholl, Andrea Berscheid, Megan Ransom and Katie Proctor; many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Avis and Richard Ward.
