Joseph B. Guenther

Joseph B. Guenther, age 78 of Duluth, MN, passed away January 30, 2017 in St. Martin.

Joe served in the Army National Guard. He retired in 2003 after 30 years with Thermotech and 20 years with Sather Engineers. Joe loved skiing, dancing, fishing, hunting and traveling.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 41 years, Betty; parents Ruth and Ben Guenther; sisters-in-law Pat and Sue Guenther; and brothers-in-law Steve Johnson and Leon Schulz.

Joe is survived by his wife of 14 years, Paula Nelson-Guenther, his sons Jeff (Lori), Todd (Janice), Tim (Patti) and Kevin (Nancy); grandchildren Joey, Bryan, Jill (Brandon) Graham, Erick, Ashley, Adam, Alyssa, Kaitlyn and Tyler; stepsons Bryan (Janice) Nelson and Daryl (Tabitha) Nelson; step-grandchildren Claire, Carol and Virginia Nelson; brothers Frank, Tony, Steve (Janet), Larry, Tom (Stephanie); sisters Lucille (Gene) Gloege, Mary (Dale) McLain, Kathryn Schulz, Marcella (Ron) Liners, Margie Johnson, and June (Richard) Hubbard; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral Mass Friday Feb. 10, 10 AM at the Church of St. Gabriel the Archangel (St. John’s Campus) #6 Interlachen Rd., Hopkins.

Visitation Thursday Feb. 9, 4-8 PM at Gearty-Delmore Park Chapel, 3960 Wooddale Ave S., St Louis Park and at church one hour prior to Mass.

Interment 3 PM Friday at Calvary Cemetery, Osakis, MN

Visitation one hour prior to Mass AT CHURCH. Interment at 3pm at Calvary Cemetery in Osakis, MN.
