JOHN PATRICK ‘PAT” O’ROURKE
The unforgettable Irishman, John Patrick O’Rourke, Jr., born on St Patrick’s Day March 17 th , 1936, entered heavenly peace on June 21,2021. Pat grew up in St. Louis Park, MN, and graduated from St. Louis Park High School in 1954. Pat was the ultimate commercial paper salesman where he was Top Salesman and earned many awards throughout his career.
Preceded in death by wife, Mary Ann O’Rourke; parents, John P. O’Rourke (Gramps) and Kathleen K. O’Rourke (Mimi); grandsons, Tyler Brengman and Troy Brengman; and brother-in-law, Ron Phillips.
Survived by daughters, Colleen (Steve) Brengman, Kimberley (Randy) Thompson, Kelley (Tom) Cahill, Shannon (Jim) Poppie; eight grandchildren, five great-grandchildren with two on the way; stepchildren, Steve (Melanie) Schueneman, Corrine (Dave) Thune, Heidi (Randy) Isaak; eight step-grandchildren. Also survived by sister, Mickie Phillips; brothers, Brian (Sandy) O’Rourke, and Barry (Robin) O’Rourke; many cousins, nieces, and nephew; girlfriend, Andrea Marxer; and their shared cats, Sasha and Oreo. Pat loved his family, friends, country music, sports, nature, and a great happy hour! He will be forever remembered for his quick wit, clever sense of humor, and SHENANIGANS!
Join us for a celebration of his life on Monday, June 28 th at Gearty-Delmore, 15800 37 th Ave. N., Plymouth at 11:00 AM.
Visitation one hour prior to service.
Irish toast and lunch following service.
Interment St. Patrick’s Cemetery.
Memorials preferred to Disabled American Veterans or donor’s choice.
