John Patrick O'Meara, age 62 of Wayzata, passed away unexpectedly March 5, 2021.
Preceded in death by Father Thomas Patrick O’Meara.
Survived by Mother Mary Ann O’Meara; siblings Tom (Leslie), Jane (David), Tricia (Jon) and Gerry (Efonda); nieces and nephews Kerri (husband Charlie and their daughter Regan), Tommy, Cassi, Michael, Taylor, Willi, Oliver, Elli, Kesha, Sterling & Phoenix.
Johnny was a proud graduate of the University of Minnesota, so proud in fact, that he never took off his graduation ring.
Two of Johnny’s professional passions were homebuilding and steel sales. Johnny and his Dad were the dynamic duo of his Dad’s company, Abbott Metals. So dynamic in fact that they both achieved Salesman of the Year Award.
From family, to boating, to working out, to travel, to snowmobiling, to king of party planning and execution, Johnny was miles ahead of Martha Stewart! He was a true model of a giving man, always wanting everyone to feel welcome. He was so loving, kind, caring, and a true lover of life. Johnny O was one of a kind! Johnny shined brightest when caring for his Mother the last two years. Nothing was more important than Margie to him!
He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Rest in Peace sweet Johnny O. You were THE BEST son, brother, uncle, and friend. Until we meet again may God hold you in the palm of His Hands. Now go be with Dad and celebrate St. Patrick’s Day together!
