John "Brad" Bradbury Hunner

John “Brad” Bradbury Hunner, 80, passed away peacefully Saturday, December 1st, 2018 following a three year battle with cancer.  Brad will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Sally; children, Peter (Jacqui) and Michael (Kristy); brother, Mark (Sally) Hunner; sister, Mary (Jim) Robinson and the many family and friends that were part of his life. Brad is preceded by his parents, John Clark Hunner and Margaret Bradbury Hunner.

Brad was raised in Duluth, Minnesota and attended Shattuck Military Academy before studying architecture and design at the Rhode Island School of Design.

To say Brad was an active man is an understatement. He lead an adventurous life that included competitive sailing, summiting the Matterhorn, and skiing with his family and friends. However, he set out for the biggest adventure of his life on September 23, 1995 when he married the love of his life, Sally, and took on two sons who have grown to consider him the gold standard of not only fathers and husbands, but men.

Brad graciously volunteered his time to Habitat for Humanity and his church St. Martins by the Lake.  Those who had the pleasure of knowing and working alongside him learned his heart was big and his love for family and friends, unrivaled.

In lieu of flowers please make donations to St. Martin’s by the Lake or Park Nicollet Foundation.
