John T.M. Amundson

John T.M. Amundson, of Brooklyn Center, passed away November 12, 2016 at home surrounded by his family.  John was born Nov. 29, 1949 to Joseph R. and Marcella A. (Ziner) Amundson in Fargo, North Dakota.  He graduated from Fargo North in 1967.

John met and married Patricia Letcher of Minot, North Dakota on June 14, 1969.  Shortly after, they moved to Brooklyn Center, MN where they raised their two daughters.  He began working for States Electric in 1969 until his recent retirement  in 2015.

John is survived by his wife of 47 years, Patricia; daughters, Schanna (Andre) Sherbanenko and Tawna (Bill) VanKempen; three granddaughters, Ali, Amy and Anna Sherbanenko; grandson, Aaron VanKempen; siblings, Judy Karna, Mary Amundson and Joe (Karen) Amundson; many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Marcella; Patricia’s parents, Don and Margaret Letcher.
