Jodi A. Munsterman, age 59 of Medina, passed away at home surrounded by family April 15, 2022.
Jodi’s journey here on earth was like a field of daisies. Everywhere you went, someone was connected to her, and instilled with the passion she had for life. Growing up in St. Louis park, she met her husband, Kevin, and set roots in Medina, MN. Here, they built their house from the ground up, raising 2 children, Alyssa & Kyle, and creating a home where the grandkids, Zoey & Bauer could enjoy their time. They spent weekends at the cabin, camping in the boundary waters, and week-long trips across the country. Her lightbeam shone through everyone in her 59 years of life, working in the art educator industry, her passion as a photographer, enriching and educating others as a ski instructor, and helping guide a successful business in jewelry. She guided her children, grandchildren and their friends on mission trips, youth events, and sports. Jodi even introduced and encouraged Kevin to continue to pursue his passion of skydiving. She enjoyed traveling, biking, skiing, camping, taking the grandchildren on impromptu overnights, and campfires at their house. There wasn’t an event she would miss, and her life was filled with family and friends.
In 2019, she was diagnosed with breast cancer, and was able to ring the bell at the cancer center after 9 months enduring treatments. She celebrated this accomplishment by traveling the country and overseas, Italy, Seattle, Vegas, Charleston, Florida and Hawaii, with family and loved ones. In 2021, her cancer had metastasized, she fought through numerous hurdles and challenges until the very end, but lived life to the fullest.
Survived by husband Kevin E.; daughter Alyssa (Lukas) Gardner; son Kyle Munsterman; grandchildren Zoey and Bauer Gardner; mother Janice Vice; brother Bill (Barb) Vice; sisters Lori (Sasha) Sander & Cheryl Marks; brother Tim (Anne) Vice; sisters-in-law Irene and Diane, and many more family and friends. Preceded in death by father Darrell and brothers David and Daniel Vice.
