Torborg, JoAnne A., age 96 of Golden Valley passed away May 13, 2019. Preceded in death by husband, Leo; brothers, Paul, Rev. Lloyd and Kenneth Fortin; and infant daughter, Elizabeth. Survived by children, Dory (Bruce) Hyde, Mark, Mary (Charles) Slavek and Tom (Kristine); grandchildren, Jacob, Emily, Anna, Allegra, Anne and Evan; 6 great-grandchildren; brother, Gerald (Dorothy) Fortin; other relatives and friends. Her family wishes to express their deep gratitude to her dear friend, Bunny Fox; her loving caregiver, Sue Olsen; Mary Kotchevar; Terri Kane; the Eucharistic Ministers of Good Shepherd Parish; Dale Stoffel; and Home Instead. With their help, she was able to remain in her beloved home until March despite her health challenges. Thanks also to St. Therese at St. Odilia for their care the past two months.
Mass of Christian Burial Saturday (May 18), 10:30 AM with visitation starting at 9 AM at the Church of the Good Shepherd, 145 Jersey Ave. So., Golden Valley. Interment Gethsemane Cemetery. Memorials preferred to the church.
