Joann "Jody" Carol Brown (Olivetti), 07/22/1931passed away unexpectedly, but peacefully, at home on July 25, 2021, the day after a celebration of her 90 th birthday, attended by over 70 loving family members and friends.
Jody was born in Lincoln, Nebraska on July 22, 1931. She worked many years as an RN across the Midwest. She was the consummate entertainer and hostess. She was blessed with many friends attracted by her warm and loving spirit. She was a humble but natural leader and served in many leadership capacities in various clubs and organizations wherever she lived. She and her husband Jerry made a home for their family of seven in 28 different locations throughout their 58 years of marriage.
Jody was preceded in death by her spouse Gerald R. “Jerry” Brown, parents Michael and Bernice (Geis) Olivetti, and brother James Olivetti.
She is survived by her sister Judy Pratt, her five children Teresa “Teri” Blonigan (Bill), Pamela Brown, Judith “Judy” Peterzen (Mike), Gerald R. Brown Jr. “Jay” (Teri) and Michael “Mike” Brown (Susan), 15 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren, 4 great-great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
A celebration of her life will be held Friday, July 30 th at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Robbinsdale, MN. at 11 A.M. Visitation at the church begins at 10:00 A.M. The service will be followed by lunch. Memorials are preferred, in lieu of flowers, to Houston Area Parkinson Society ( www.hapsonline.org ), a charity dear to her heart.
