Joan Phyllis (Kucala) Petersen

Joan passed away peacefully in her sleep at St. Therese of New Hope.

Survived by husband Gordon; children Susan White, Robert, Kathleen, Julie (Duane) McAllister, Charles and David (Jennifer) and son-in-law Craig Schulz; 11 grandchildren Hendrick White II, Natalie (Sean) Gomez, Nicholas and Jacob White, Daniel (Samantha) McAllister, Jennifer McAllister, Alyssa (Austin) Saatzer, Alexander and Angela Schulz, and Cole and Abby Petersen; and 8 great-grandchildren.

Joan was born March 27, 1932 in St. Cloud, MN, daughter of Isadore & Gladys Kucala.   She married Gordon Petersen on June 6, 1953 in Minneapolis.

Preceded in death by her two brothers Richard and Buddy Kucala and her daughter Mary Schulz who passed away one day before her own death.  There are now two new angels in heaven to watch over us all.

Interment Fort Snelling National Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial preferred to:  Minnesota Ovarian Cancer Alliance ("MOCA").
