Joan Elizabeth Carlson
Born February 25, 1932 in Minneapolis to Arthur and Helen Anderson. She passed away surrounded by loving family on Tuesday, April 4, 2017 in Minneapolis. Joan was spunky, funny, loving, and kind. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by husband, Ralph and brothers, Gerald and Tom Anderson and sister, Bernice Knaeble.

She is survived by children: Terese Chillingsworth, Dan (Sharon), Margaret (Chris) Southam, Jim (Nancy), Lisa (Carrie); grandchildren: Jenifer (Al) VanHees, Warren (Megan) Carlson, Marlee (Tim) Solomonson, Benjamin (Anne) Carlson, Madalyn (Richie) Southam, Peter Carlson; great-grandchildren: Aly (Marcus) Vavrik, Jillian VanHees, June Solomonson; sister, Leone LaDuke; brothers: James, Duke and John Anderson.

Visitation Friday, April 7 from 4-8 PM at Gearty Delmore Funeral Home 3888 W. Broadway Ave. in Robbinsdale.

A Celebration of Joan’s life will be held on Saturday, April 8 at 1 PM at Unity Church, 4000 Golden Valley Road, Golden Valley.

Interment following the service at Gethsemane Cemetery, New Hope.

Memorials preferred to donors choice.
