Jo Ann Hardin, 55, of New Hope, formerly of Spencer, Iowa.
Jo Ann is survived by husband, Jim; step sons (in name only), Michael and Tyler; step daughter (in name only), Catelin (Ryan); parents, James and Carol Bleich; brother, John Bleich (Melanie); sisters, Jae Ella Gooden(Bill), Jammie Wackerbarth (Terry) and Judy King (Phil); brother-in-law, Greg Hardin (Joyce); sisters-in-law, Diane Weiss (Tom) and Barb Rogers (Charlie); best friend, Frankie Blackmon; Jo Ann’s godchildren (Frankie’s children) Timothy, Shant'a and Matthew; many beloved nieces and nephews; two dogs, Stewart and Zoey; two cats, Baby Mama and Milo.
Born in Spencer, Iowa on December 18, 1963, Jo loved her time in Texas and resided in New Hope since 1999. Always so proud of her work and accomplishments of which there were many, Jo was a “super salesperson”, not because she read books or attended seminars; she genuinely loved people. She often said when you’re happy it’s not work and she was always happy. She woke every day with a smile on her face. Her compassion and loving nature truly set her apart.
A rare gal, she honestly never had a bad word to say in public or private about anyone. An example of this came early in life. When one of her siblings got in hot water with mom or dad, Jo would be close by ready to give a hug and a piece of candy. And even though slight of build, no bullies need fool around with any of her sisters, or they would be facing Jo immediately.
There really are no words adequate to sum up what she meant to everyone she came into contact with. She will be missed by so many.
We are comforted by the fact that when we meet again, Jo will be waiting with a hug and a piece of candy. Until then we know you are being cradled and comforted in the arms of God.
