Beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend to many, passed away peacefully at age 84 on 11/1/18 after a long battle with Parkinson’s disease.
Preceded in death by parents, Mildred and Albert; brothers, Edward and Thomas; sister, Bernadette.
Survived by loving wife of 60 years, Barb; children, Paul (Theresa), Ann (Scott), Jim (Kristi), Joe (Mary), Mike (Amy); grandchildren, Matt (Sarah), Eric, Andy, Ryan, Emily, Alex, Lauren, Tommy, Anna, Shelby, Griffin, Alecia (Tim), Connor, Chase; great-grandchildren, Ethan, Nathan, Carter, Vaida; sisters, Mary Catherine and Clare; special nephew, David; many nieces and nephews.
Jerry g
rew up in south Minneapolis, member of Incarnation Parish, attended De La Salle High School and served in Marine Corps. Joined Local 15 as a plumber and in 1963 was first field employee for Metropolitan Mechanical Contractors, later becoming partner. After retiring in 1992 he spent many summers with friends and family on Lake Roosevelt in Emily, Minnesota and winters with many lifelong friends at Timber Pines in Spring Hill, Florida.
In lieu of flowers, memorials
preferred to the Fairview Hospice or the charity of your choice.
Special thanks to the many caregivers for their kindness and compassion.
Among Jerry’s many gifts were his humor and his faith. He will be greatly missed!
