Jerald "Pete" Peter Sharp

Jerald (Pete) Sharp, of Brooklyn Park, born September 9, 1938, passed away on November 4, 2019.

He was preceded in death by parents, Ottes and Irene; brother, Wayne and great-granddaughter Ella.

Pete is survived by wife of 62 years, Sharon; daughters, Julie (Dan) and Donna (Kjel); grandchildren, Patrick (Christina), Kevin (Stephanie), Andrew (Justine) and Eric (Dana); great grandchildren, Mason, Sophie, Mallory, Charlie, Brooklyn and Constance; brothers, Karl (Mary Lou), Curt (Mary Ann) and Tim (Tammie).

Dad was a lifelong salesman and a retired New Hope firefighter. He was very active in the Zuhrah Shrine and Masonic organizations. He was always willing to help his fellow brothers. He enjoyed helping and working with people from all walks of life. He was a dedicated fundraiser and enjoyed using his “sharp” salesman skills to get you to buy raffle tickets or whatever he was selling. He spent countless years raising funds to help patients and their families travel to the Shriners Hospital for Children for much needed care. He helped plan Halloween parties, Christmas parties, proms, and many more events.

Dad loved his sports teams and rarely missed watching a game. He could strike up a conversation with anybody. He always had a good story to tell. Dad loved his family very much. We were blessed to have him in our lives and this world won’t be the same without him.

If you wish to honor Pete and his life of giving, memorials can be sent to the Shriners Hospital for Children in Minneapolis.
