Jeffrey Daniel Mattila

Jeffrey Daniel Mattila, age 64, passed away on Saturday, May 11, 2024, in Athens, Greece. Jeffrey was the 9th child of Mervin and Judith Mattila and was born on March 28, 1960 in St. Paul, Minnesota. Jeffrey is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Gail Marie of Greenfield MN; children: Lynnette (Jeffrey) Loukusa of Corcoran MN, Chad (Jana) Mattila of Otsego MN, Dustin (Kaija) Mattila of Commerce MI, Clark (Emily) Mattila of Corcoran MN, Stephanie (Luke) Augustin of Independence MN, Bridget (Garrett) Pikkarainen of Greenfield MN and Kent (Kendra) Mattila of Greenfield MN; grandchildren: Travis, Carson, Sophia, Blake, Elliot (Loukusa); Yohanna, Peyton, Adelyn, Roman (Mattila); Makenna, Braylen, Cathan, Miles, Livia, Kendrik (Mattila); Dominic, Mario, Bianca, Brynn, Indy (Mattila); Alana, Amelia, Felix (Augustin); Isla, Crosby, Liam (Pikkarainen); Declan (Mattila); siblings: Diane (Dale) Simonson, David Mattila, Bradley (Maureen) Mattila, Douglas (Judith) Mattila, Paulette (David) McAdams, Sylvia (David) Pogoff, Kathleen (Michael) Koivisto, Roger (Hanna) Mattila; half-siblings: Ted Mattila, Arianna Mattila; sister-in-law: Margaret Mattila; brother-in-law: Kenneth Huotari; parents-in-law: Walter and Annette Johnson; countless nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Mervin and Judith Mattila, siblings: Curtis Mattila, Sandra Huotari, Rachel Clark, Glen Mattila, and sister-in-law, Maria Mattila.

Visitation to be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, May 25, followed by the funeral service at 11:00 AM at Minneapolis Laestadian Lutheran Church 13030 47th Avenue North Plymouth, MN. Luncheon will be served following the service with interment at 2:30 PM at Elmwood Cemetery in Rockford, Minnesota.
