Jeanne E. Sherburne, age 96 of Plymouth, died October 22, 2021 as a result of complications from COVID.
Jeanne was a beloved matriarch, survived by daughters, Chris Wiencke (David), Jane Sherburne; son, Jim Sherburne (Mary) and daughter, Meg Trihus (Greg); 11 grandchildren, Jim, Mary, Ben, Andy, Susan, Elizabeth, John, Will, Samuel, Kate and Lisa and 16+ great grandchildren, Caroline, James, Charlie, Arthur, Mabel, Nathanial, Jude, Ella, Emanuel, Beatrice, Augie, Julia, Phoebe, Sadie, Taiyari, Evelyn, and another coming; numerous nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by husband and soulmate, William L. Sherburne and siblings, Matthew Flock, Ann Johnson and Thomas Flock. Also preceded in death by, Vincent L. Anderson, second husband from 1989 to 1995.
Jeanne grew up in Milwaukee, the daughter of Matthew Flock and Winona Cuthbert Flock, attending Messmer High School and graduating from Marquette University. She was the organizing force for her family, catalyzing family gatherings that kept us close and connected. Everyone loved her; she could charm the most hard-core grump. She was perceptive and a source of strength, wisdom and support for her children and grandchildren as they confronted various life challenges. Jeanne was an active parishioner at St. Joseph Parish Community for many years.
Mass of Christian Burial 11 AM Friday, October 29, 2021 at St. Joseph Parish Center, 8701 36th Ave N., New Hope. Visitation 5-7 PM Thursday, Oct. 28 at Gearty-Delmore Plymouth Chapel, 15800 37th Ave N @ Vicksburg Lane and Friday at 10 AM at the Parish Center. Interment Gethsemane Cemetery.
The family requests that guest wear masks and encourages vaccinations.
