Jeanne Halonen

L. Jeanne Halonen, age 90, born Sept 17, 1927, passed peacefully at Family Tree Homes in Rogers on  Dec 18, and was reunited with Edward, her husband of 56 years. Also preceded in death by brother (best buddy), Jackie; sisters, Maxine and Jerry; grandsons, Shawn and Andrew.

She is survived by sons, Daniel (Kelly), Douglas (Holly), David (Wendy), Drew (Julie), Dean (Tammy), Dirk (Vicki) and Dwight; 13 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren; sister, Patti Maxwell; many other relatives and friends.

Jeanne was a patriot; very proud of her husband, a WWII and Korean Conflict combat-wounded veteran, as well as the many family members who served our country. She was extremely social; active with Redeemer Lutheran Church, craft clubs, card groups, Bryn Mawr - and more recently, NorthRidge in New Hope - friends and neighbors. Jeanne was a strong woman in her faith and opinions. Jeanne and Eddie's legacy will live on through their seven sons.

Jeanne would be pleased to know that her services are planned so that all will be home in time to watch Jeopardy!

Redeemer Lutheran Church,
1800 Glenwood Ave. N,
Minneapolis, MN 55405
Interment Ft. Snelling National Cemetery.
Visitation one hour before the service at the church.

In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to Redeemer Lutheran Church.
