Jeanne Margaret (Wise) Ehmke

Jeanne Margaret (Wise) Ehmke passed away in Anoka, MN on April 6th at the age of 92.

She is preceded in death by husband, Erwin; parents, Julius Sr. and Margaret (Neines) Wise; brothers and sisters-in-law, LeRoy (Marce), LaVerne (Rose); sisters and brothers-in-law Lucille (Barney) Speltz, Dolores (Jack) Kreidermacher.

She is survived by children, Cheryl (Mark) Theiler, Bryan (Julie), Terry (Mary); grandchildren, Kelli (Nate) Brady, Bri (Bryan) Schneider, Blair (Hayley Williams), Anna (Tyler Walker); great grandchildren, Wesley and Waverly Schneider; brother, Julius Jr. and many nieces and nephews.

Jeanne was born on September 16, 1929 on the family farm in Rollingstone, MN as the second youngest of six children.  Jeanne and Erwin were married on September 25,1954 and moved to Minneapolis, where she worked for many years in retail and retired after 25+ years from Montgomery Ward in Robbinsdale.  After retirement, Jeanne volunteered at Maple Grove Hospital in the maternity unit and at St Joseph the Worker Catholic Church helping with funeral lunches and counting collections.  She enjoyed BINGO, playing 500 and watching the Twins, Vikings and U of M basketball and football teams.

Mass of Christian burial will be on Monday, April 11, 2022, 11 AM at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church , 7180 Hemlock Lane in  Maple Grove. Visitation at church from 9:30-11 AM.  In honor of Jeanne’s love of sports, please wear your favorite team apparel  - She will be looking down on all of us with a big smile on her face!

Jeanne’s family would like to thank the entire staff of The Walker Plaza in Anoka for the outstanding compassion and care they provided over the last 2 1/2 years.

In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to The Walker Plaza or St Joseph the Worker.
