Jean A. Lugen, age 90 of New Hope, passed away March 13, 2021. Survived by children Kathy Pupeza, Greg Lutgen, Roger (Sherrie) Lutgen, Brian (Gail) Lutgen, Diane Rae (Ben) Blackhawk, Sharon (Gordon) D’Souza, Gary Lutgen, & Nita (Matt) Schanback; grandchildren and great grandchildren; brother Wallace Daley. Preceded in death by husband Leo and baby Lucy Lutgen, parents Roy and Mabel Daley, brother Wayne Daley and son-in-law Mark Pupeza. Jean was born in Loma North Dakota and came to Minneapolis to go to high school, graduating from Robbinsdale High School. As a young woman she worked at Pliam’s/General Floor Covering. She was the bookkeeper and the ran the family businesses. She was a wonderful wife and mom and friend to many. We were blessed to hear and be the subject of her poems and prayers.. always there for us. We will miss her. Mass of Christian Burial 11 AM Friday at the Church of St. Raphael, 7301 Bass Lake Rd, Crystal. (video of Mass will be available Friday afternoon on this page. Visitation at church from 10:30 AM Friday until time of mass. Private interment at Ft. Snelling National Cemetery.
