Jean Ann Theresa Callinan, age 74, of Plymouth, Minnesota passed away peacefully at her home, the afternoon of January 9, 2016, with her husband of 52 years at her side resulting from congestive heart and renal failure. Her family extends deep gratitude to her North Memorial Hospice care team.
Jean graduated from St. Anthony Catholic High School of Northeast Minneapolis, Minnesota and married Thomas in October 1963. Jean lived a loving and family-centered life for her 3 children and 6 grandchildren. Jean and Tom had a lifetime commitment together enjoying yearly family lake vacations.
As an only child, Jean’s passion and purpose in life was to be a Mother, the best Mother she could be, and nothing was more important than her family. She encouraged each of her children to grow in their faith, higher education, family values, and work ethic. She also felt blessed, and held higher than any material possession, many life-long childhood friendships.
Jean will be missed and remembered by her husband Thomas; children Andrew (Jean) Callinan, Sean (Carmen) Callinan, and Melissa (Lee) Tveit; grandchildren Neal and Jenna Callinan, Camille and Sebastian Callinan, and Cole and Madison Tveit, who will grow up with many memories and stories, knowing how much she loved each of them; and many other dear friends and extended family. Jean was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Andrew and Erma Miller.
Private Interment.
