Janice Elaine (Levendusky) Loftus

Loftus, Janice Elaine (Levendusky) age 82, after a courageous battle with cancer, passed away peacefully at home, on August 2, 2021, with her husband and children by her side. Janice was born March 22, 1939 in Minneapolis, MN.  She married the love of her life, Dick, on August 10, 1963 and enjoyed a life together of devout love. Janice cherished her family and always had her camera ready to capture the memories. She was very active in her church community, neighborhood community and donated her time and efforts to many charity causes important to her. She also enjoyed the time she spent tending to the many flowers in her garden. Janice is survived by her husband, Dick; daughter, Laura (Joe) Kuehmichel; son, Tom (Michelle); grandchildren: Hannah, Josh, Kallie, Evan; sisters: Patty, Peggy (Mike), Mary (Tim); brother, Donnie (Cindy); and many other loving family members. Janice is preceded in death by her parents, Donald and Margaret Levendusky; sister, Prudy. A visitation will be held Monday, August 9th from 5:00-8:00pm at Gearty-Delmore Funeral Chapel, 3960 Wooddale Ave. S. in St. Louis Park. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, August 10th at 10:00am at Holy Family Catholic Church, 5900 W. Lake St. in St. Louis Park. Interment to follow at Lakewood Cemetery, 3600 Hennepin Ave., Minneapolis. Please join us after the burial for a luncheon in Lakewood’s Garden Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be directed to STEP (St. Louis Park Emergency Program) where Janice devoted many volunteer hours.
