Janet Marie Jorgenson, 68, passed away peacefully on June 30th, 2024 after complications from heart surgery. As usual, even in death, she was taking care of others. Janet saved three lives by donating her organs. Additionally, her lungs were donated to science for the study of bronchiectasis (her major illness). Janet was a warm-hearted, smart and generous woman who had a great sense of humor. She cultivated many friendships. Janet was a very nurturing person who always thought of others first. She demonstrated this especially when volunteering to hold preemie babies in the NICU in California. She loved doing it. Janet traveled extensively to many countries and was thrilled to be able to take each of her grandsons on separate trips. She enjoyed crocheting, gardening, decorating and reading. Janet worked at Tennant Company for 20 years in Corporate Accounting. She was a hard-working individual who excelled at her work and she formed a lot of friendships at Tennant that have lasted to this date. 

Janet is survived by sisters, Coleen Murphy (Michael Evans), Judy Johnson, Elisa Peterson, Lauri Jorgenson (Barb Fischley); brother, Jay Jorgenson (Lori Jorgenson); nieces, Dana Kozlak, Allison Schultz; nephews, Jared Johnson and Christian Murphy; stepmother, Barbara Jorgenson; stepsister, Greta Jorgenson; stepson, Christopher Morlan and grandsons, Aemon Morlan and Roane Morlan. Preceded in death by the love of her life, husband, James Morlan; mother, Irene Jorgenson (nee Krieger) and father, Harold Jorgenson.

Janet's Celebration of Life will be held at Gearty Delmore Chapel, 3888 W. Broadway, Robbinsdale on Saturday, July 27th, 2024. Visiting with family from 1-3 pm followed by a short service from 3-4 pm. In lieu of flowers please donate to the American Lung Association, UNICEF or a charity of your choice.   The service at 3 pm will be livestreamed.   A link will be placed on the website by the time of the service.
