James George Wagner

James G. Wagner, age 85 of New Hope MN, and formerly of St. Michael MN, left us to be with our Lord October 23rd.

Beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle and friend, Jim is survived by loving wife Mary Wagner, children Jim (Rosie) Wagner, Mike Wagner, Trish Wagner, Bob (Linda) Wagner, Linda (Pat) Hughes, 16 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild, his sister Mary Kay (Jim) Pauly, niece Amy Pauly and nephew Tim Pauly.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Doris and parents, George and Helen Wagner.

Jim was fiercely devoted to his faith, family, friends and his Minnesota sports teams. After growing up in Minneapolis, Jim became the owner of his family’s business, Jiffy Jr. Products. He married Doris Olmscheid in 1956. In New Hope they raised their 5 children, enjoying cabin and camping life throughout the years with wonderful family and neighbors. He and Doris traveled each winter to sunny Arizona during their retirement years. He was a horseshoe champion, and loved card games. Jim was passionate about his Catholic faith and serving The Lord. He was very active in St. Raphael’s Church and later in the St. Michael Parish. Jim served as a Eucharistic Minister and was a gifted Lector. A pro-life advocate and member of the Knights of Columbus, Jim spent much of his retirement as a volunteer at church, a greeter at North Memorial, and driving shut-ins to Doctor appointments.

At the young age of 82, Jim married Mary Ann Ryan and was blessed with her love and companionship for the past 3 years.

The world was a better place because of Jim.
