James (Jim) Kimmel

James E. (Jim) Kimmel, age 83 of Wayzata, MN, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by family on May 8.

Jim is survived by wife Mary, daughters Susan Kimmel & Kathy (Gary) Bischel; son Robert (Anne) Kimmel; grandchildren Andy, Ali, Ryan, Charlie, Ceci, Robby & Georgia; many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by sisters Kathryn (Jim) Fleming and Eileen Kimmel; brothers Charles and Jake Kimmel.

Jim was devoted to his wife, children and grandchildren. Jim had the opportunity to live many places throughout his life, but he especially loved everything Minnesota - boating, golfing and of course the Minnesota Vikings! He traveled the world for his work in medical device sales, beginning with Baxter Laboratories before embarking on a successful 25 year career with Medtronic.

The family would like to thank the nurses and staff at the Folkestone community and Park Nicollet Hospice for their attentive and compassionate care.

Rosary service at 7 PM.
