James "Jim" R. Brekke

Jim was born in Fargo, N.D. to Edward and Marion (Robinson) Brekke.  He is a graduate of Fargo Central High School.  In 1964, Jim enlisted in the U.S. Air Force where he attained the rank of Sergeant.  Following the Air Force, he attended the Dakota Business College in Fargo and went on to earn his Bachelor’s degree at Moorhead State with a degree in Accounting and Business Administration.  He held several diverse city administration and accounting positions during his career.  Most recently he was working in the Debt Management Center at the VA in St. Paul.

Survived by his loving wife, Kathleen; daughter, Christina; Kathleen’s children, Hilary (Paul) Keprios, Heidi Kohls and Brian Kohls; sister, Linda Chelgren.

Interment Fort Snelling National Cemetery.

Visitation one hour prior to service.
