James W. (Jim) Bjorgan

James "Jim" W. Bjorgan age 88 of Plymouth.  Jim was member of the Sons of Norway and Minneapolis Athletic Club.

Survived by his loving wife, Shirley; children, Steve Bjorgan, Leah (Matthew) Johnson and Keith (Dana) Bjorgan; grandchildren, Steven, Alex, Noah, Luke, Josef, Laura, Emily and Robert; relatives and friends.

Preceded in death by his parents, Pauline and Nels Bjorgan.

Jim was in the insurance business as a broker for 57 years, most recently at Hays Companies retiring at age 80. He loved his family especially when everyone was gathered at the house and the yearly trip to the state fair with kids and grandkids. Long time member of the Minneapolis Athletic Club where he enjoyed playing billiards.  He loved going to the family cabin, sitting on the dock and driving the back roads.  He was very social and enjoyed eating breakfast everyday at the Lincoln Del.  After he retired he met every Tuesday for bible study and coffee and every Thursday for lunch and politics.  His stories and laughter will be missed.

Private interment Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Plymouth.

Visitation 4:00 PM - 7:00 PM Thursday, March 31 at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church and one hour prior to the service.

Memorials are preferred to the family.
