Jake Carl Schweiger,

age 85 of Carmel, IN, passed away February 5, 2023. Jake was born October 9, 1937, in Lefor, ND, to the late Jacob and Elizabeth Schweiger. Jake had been a heavy equipment mechanic for 45 years. He retired from Glenn Rehbein Excavating, Inc., in Minneapolis. He had previously worked for Buesing Brothers Trucking, Long Lake. Jake is survived by wife of 61 years, Carol; children, Jeff (Wanza) Schweiger, Rochelle Schweiger, Kevin (Diane) Schweiger, Brenda Pettit and Brian Schweiger; 10 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren; sisters, Mary Farnsworth and Betty Todd. He is preceded in death by brother, John Schweiger.

Visitation gathering 1-3 PM Monday, February 13, 2023, at Gearty-Delmore Funeral Chapels 3960 Wooddale Ave. S., St. Louis Park 55416. Burial at Grandview Park Cemetery in Hopkins. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
