Irella B Bjorlo

Irella, age 101 of Golden Valley passed away October 11, 2016.

Preceded in death by husband, Peter Bjorlo; brothers, Woodrow and Herbert Patterson.

Survived by daughter, Ruth (Gudmund) Julseth; grandchildren, Donald (Debbie) Julseth, Linda (Paul) Barli, Eric (Heather) Julseth; great-grandchildren, Gretchen Julseth, Damon John Barli; great-great-grandson, Kieran.

Irella grew up in Hinckley, lived in Rochester and died in Golden Valley, MN.  She worked at the Kahler Hotel's restaurant in Rochester for 25 years.  After retirement she enjoyed travelling, especially to Ireland where she visited 6 times with her brother Woodrow and daughter Ruth and family.  Her last big trips were to the Black Hills, SD and to Ft. Meyer's Beach, FL in 2008, at the age of 93.  Irella was also a devoted member of the Catholic Church.  Her faith and positive attitude carried her through many trials over her lifetime giving her peace and happiness.  This approach to life will continue to be an inspiration to her family and she will be missed by all.

Mass of Christian Burial 4:00 pm Wednesday, October 19, 2016, at the Church of the Sacred Heart, 4087 West Broadway, Robbinsdale.

Visitation begins 3 pm at church.

Interment Rosehill Cemetery, Hinckley, MN.

Memorials preferred to Sacred Heart.
