Ione Leiter

Ione Leiter passed away on June 17, 2016 at the age of 88.  She was born December 3, 1927 in Staples, MN to Andrew & Hannah Anderberg.  She moved to Minneapolis after graduating from Staples High School.  She graduated from the Minnesota School of Business in 1948.  Ione met Clarence Leiter while working at Red Owl Stores, and they married in 1950.  They moved to Green Bay, WI in 1953, where they started a family and where she became an avid Packers fan.  They moved back to Minneapolis in 1967.  She was preceded in death by Clarence in 1976.  Ione went to work for Lutheran Brotherhood and retired in 1993.  In retirement, she enjoyed traveling, socializing and being with her children and grandchildren.  She passed away peacefully surrounded by her family and is now dancing in heaven with Clarence.

She is survived by her daughter Cheryl Leiter (Ken DeCamp), sons Craig Leiter (Becky) and John Leiter, and grandchildren Nicole DeCamp and Philip (Yili), Claire and Alex Leiter.
