Howard was preceded in death by his parents, Al and Litwina Stanchfield.
He is survived by sister, Bobbi (Tom) Sipe; brother, Albert (Katrina) Stanchfield; nieces, Christine Thurn, Natalie Hegert, Winnona Gaviglio; nephews, Patrick, Gregory and Joe Sipe as well as many other family members and friends including Howard's best friend, Felix.
Howard loved his family and lived for the rock and roll music of the 70's and 80's. A drummer as a teen, he had just acquired an electric guitar to get back to playing the music that had always inspired him. Regardless of the struggles he encountered in his life, he did not allow those struggles to diminish who he truly was; a humorous, free spirited, kind hearted soul who was rarely seen without his trademark black beret.
A special thank you to Tom Schreiner from Northwest Community Services for his compassionate and considerate care during Howard's last year.
We wish Howard peace on his journey and a joyful reunion with Mom and Dad, his grandparents, other family members and those musical legends who have passed on before him.
Au revoir, Howie, we love you and may God's infinite grace always shine upon you.
A celebration of Howard's life will be held in the spring of 2016.
