Helen M. Weiss

Helen M. (Kalitowski) Weiss, age 88, of New Hope, passed away January 30, 2017.

She was preceded in death by husband, Edward; parents, Anthony and Martha Kalitowski; brothers, Ed and Harry; sister, Margaret.

Helen is survived by children, Cheryl Weibeler (Lawrence Rossini), Susan (John) Daugherty and William (Dawn); six grandsons; older sister, Dorothy Durr.

Helen was diagnosed with MS at 65.  It didn’t stop her but it did slow her down.  She was a regular at the New Hope Y and had many friends there.  Her grandsons helped her with maintenance cutting the grass and shoveling when she could no longer perform those tasks herself.  She valued her independence, remaining in her home until her death.

Special thanks to neighbors/friends Pat and Richard Bruin.  They shared many meals, kept on eye on her and helped her out when family wasn’t available.
