Helen Swanson

Survived by husband Dennis Anderson; son Lukas; brothers Robert “Rob” (Donna) Swanson, Wayne (Lulu) Swanson, Raynard (Laurie) Swanson; sister Janet Boz;  nieces, nephews, cousins, and many close friends.

Preceded in death by parents Ray and Helen Swanson; sisters Gloria Lindquist and Margaret Kardell; and brother Michael.

Helen will be remembered by all who knew her as a humble, hardworking and devoted friend who loved gatherings of family and friends.  She was a dedicated worker at the Star-Tribune for 24 years and retired early for health reasons.  Helen died from cancer after a long and painful struggle which she endured bravely and without complaining, never asking for anything from anyone, which was so typical of her.  She always helped the other, but never asked for herself.

Graveside services will be held in the spring at Oak Hill Cemetery, Mpls.
