Helen S. Martensen

Helen S. (Brichacek) Martensen passed away peacefully on October 8th at North Ridge Health and Rehab in New Hope at the age of 102.

Helen Brichacek was born July 19, 1914 on a farm in Ward Township, north of Browerville, MN, to James and Bessie (Sedivy) Brichacek.

Helen is preceded in death by parents, James and Bessie Brichacek; brothers, Joseph and James; husbands, Albert Antes and Arnold Martensen.

She is survived by daughter, Jacolyn (Robert) Thompson; grandchildren, Cynthia (Tim) Slater and Steve (Terri) Thompson; great grandchildren, Lily, Otto and Zane Slater, Kiera and Taylor Thompson; many nieces and nephews.

In retirement, Helen and Arnie enjoyed traveling, visiting friends and relatives throughout the US, many Elder Hostels and National Parks.

Memorial service will be 11:00 AM Monday, October 17 at Gearty-Delmore Plymouth Chapel, 15800 37th Ave N, Plymouth.  Interment at a later date at Fort Snelling National Cemetery.

Memorials should be directed to the donor's choice.
