Beloved mother and grandmother.
Preceded in death by husband and best friend, Robert; parents, Stanley and Nellie Shupien; brothers, Matthew Palluck, William Palluck and Edward Shupien; sisters, Joyce Horton, Marion Schiffer, Jennie Stefanoc and Florence Rogers.
Survived by daughter and son-in-law, Michelle and Bruce Zirbes; grandsons, Zachary and Andrew Zirbes; and many other relatives and friends, including special friends at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church.
Helen retired after 23 years from Old Republic Title Insurance Company. Longtime parish volunteer as Eucharistic Minister, Minister of Care at North Memorial Medical Center, Resurrection Choir member and in Council of Catholic Women. Former member of Northwest Singing Seniors.
Mass of Christian Burial, Friday, February 2 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church, 70th & Halifax, Brooklyn Center. Visitation Thursday, February 1 from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at Gearty-Delmore, Robbinsdale Chapel, 39th & West Broadway, with Rosary at 6:30 p.m., and 1 hour prior to Mass at the church.
Interment Gethsemane Cemetery, New Hope.
Memorials preferred in lieu of flowers.
Special thanks for many compassionate and loving caregivers over seven years, wonderful Hospice support in Mom’s last year, and a beautiful final week and farewell from Haven Homes staff. Your friendship, kindness and support will never be forgotten.
