Gordon C. Ortler, age 83 of Plymouth, passed away January 29, 2021 after a brief battle with pancreatic cancer.
Gordy was born in North Minneapolis and graduated from Patrick Henry High School. He was a proud graduate of the University of Minnesota and a big Gopher fan. His career included working for Northern States Power (NSP) for over forty years.
Gordy and Mary enjoyed their winter home together in Fountain Hills, Arizona as well as other travels. Gordy was a faith filled man that led by example and family meant everything to him.
Gordy leaves behind his loving wife and soulmate of 60 years, Mary; daughters, Julie (Michael) Palach and Jennifer (Jon) Blood; grandchildren, Ryan Palach, Kelly Palach, Grace Blood & Nick Blood; his sister Judith Norberg.
He was preceded in death by his mother Irene and father Clarence Ortler.
Private Family Mass of Christian Burial 11:30 AM Wednesday, February 3, at the Church of St. Bartholomew, 630 E. Wayzata Blvd, Wayzata. Interment Holy Name Cemetery.
