Gordon E. Johnson, M.D.

Gordon E. Johnson, MD, age 91, formerly of Golden Valley, passed away peacefully surrounded by his children on Sept. 22, 2017.

He is now in the presence of his Lord and Savior after faithfully walking with Him.

He is survived by son Stephen Johnson, daughters Karen (Jon) Solstad & Rebecca Johnson; grandchildren Alyssa, Erica & Kayla.

Preceded in death by wife Shirley, son Scott Johnson and wives Betty Kleinschmidt Johnson and Betty Stattine Johnson. Also preceded in death by brother Ingvar Johnson and sister Priscilla Ahlgren.

Dr. Johnson was a missionary Doctor in Belgian Congo/Zaire and then family physician for many years in Golden Valley.

Memorial service 11 AM, Friday, October 20, 2017 at New Hope Church, 4225 Gettysburg Ave N., New Hope, MN.  Visitation begins at 10 AM at church.

Private interment Lakewood Cemetery.

Memorials preferred to Minnehaha Academy, Trinity Evangelical Divinity School/Trinity Fund and EFCA ReachGlobal.

Visitation one hour before service.
