On July 19, 2020, Gary Spiekermeier, entered the arms of his Heavenly Father after a valiant struggle with Myelodysplastic Syndrome.
Gary served in the United States Marine Corps. and fought in Vietnam in 1967-1968. After the Marine Corps, he joined the Oceanside, CA Police Department. He later worked for Target Corporation and then for Norwest Banks/Wells Fargo Banks. Gary will always be lovingly remembered as a devoted and loving husband, father and grandpa.
He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 51 years, Sue; daughter, Lisa (Joe) Berns; grandchildren, Jessica, Alexandra, Michael, Gabriella; siblings, Judy (Craig) Miller, Jim (Rita) Spiekermeier, Diane (Kevin) Voyles, Kevin (Kim) Spiekermeier, many nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by parents, Nita and A.J. Spiekermeier.
Mass of Christian Burial 11AM Monday, July 27 at the Parish Community of St. Joseph, 8701 36 th Ave. N, New Hope. Visitation 4PM-6PM, Sunday, July 26 with 5PM prayer service, at Gearty-Delmore Plymouth Chapel, 15800 37 th Ave. N, and 1 hr. before service at church.
Face masks required at the service. Interment in the church columbarium.
