Gary R. Rockney  "Rock, GRR"

Gary was born April 25,1945 in Minneapolis to Earl and Irene Rockney. Passed away April 14, 2023 in Minneapolis. Graduated from Marshall High School, Class of 1963. Enlisted in the Marine Corp and was in Vietnam on Marble Mountain.  When Gary returned, he was secretary to the General at Camp Pendleton, California. After discharge he got a job at the steel plant in Oceanside, California. He remained in the steel business and retired from Olympic Steel in Plymouth, MN.

Survived by ‘Wonderful” loving partner of 25 years Pam Fales; children, Nick (Sunita Kreslins) of Watertown and Jaime of Jordan; grandchildren, Kaiden and Rylee Rockney; sister, Karen Peterson of Minnetonka; mother of his children, Deb Rockney (Trevor Nye) of Watertown.

Celebration of life will be held on Gary’s birthday, Tuesday, April 25 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 513 Madison St S.E. Watertown, MN; visitation starting at 11:00 am; service at noon with a luncheon afterward. Private interment Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
