Gabriel A. Rice

On Tuesday January 5 ^th Gabriel Rice, caring brother and son, passed away peacefully in his sleep.

Gabe was born January 17 ^th 1971 in Golden Valley, MN.  He grew up in Hanover and graduated high school in Buffalo, class of ‘89.  Gabe worked for many years as a mechanic; he was a very hard worker who generously helped others with their car troubles and home projects.  He was always on a mission and thirsty for knowledge or a new challenge which he pursued with purpose and determination.

Gabe was very passionate about the outdoors; he loved fishing, hunting morel mushrooms, and rock hounding.  He was always looking for those elusive and beautiful agates.  He had immense respect for veterans and a big heart for anyone else who blazed their own trail through life like he did.

Gabe was preceded in death by his grandparents Duane Rice, Allan and Mary Lou Eull.  He is survived by his parents, Curtis and Deborah Rice; siblings, Nicolas (Nicole), Benjamin, and Sarah; grandmother, Helen Rice; as well as many aunts and uncles, cousins, and nieces.

A memorial service will be held Monday, January 11th at 2pm at Gearty-Delmore Funeral Chapel at 15800 37 ^th Ave N, Plymouth, MN 55446.  Family and close friends are welcome to arrive at 1pm to gather and visit before the service.  The service will be livestreamed.
