Frank is survived by his wife of 61 years, Marlene, who is a nationally known Senior Horse Show Judge and their five children; Kent (Cindy) of Delano, Brian (Mary) of Chaska, Jill Ball (Jim) of Charlotte, NC, Anne (Dan) of Plymouth, and Stacy Marek (Jeff) of Crystal. He was a wonderful grandpa to 14 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren. A man of many talents, he will be missed for the countless plates of eggs benedict, coffee cakes, apple pies, hoppin’ John, and brunch foods he showered on guests.
He is also survived by his sister-in-law Sharon (Bob) Moeller, niece and Goddaughter Maria Moeller, and great nephew Justin Whitten; his brother, Stanley (Marcia), and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sister Delores Feeney of NY, and brothers John, Eugene, and Jim of Minneapolis, and nephew Mark Moeller of Chaska.
Frank spent 25 years in the advertising agency business in the Twin Cities. He worked with Campbell-Mithun, Chuck Ruhr, and the Minneapolis office of BBDO where he retired as the vice-president and account supervisor in 1985.
Frank was also active with several advertising associations in Minnesota. He was president of the Advertising Federation, national director of the National Advertising Federation and director of the Better Business Bureau of Minnesota. He was also a writer and several of his articles were published in national business magazines.
He earned his Bachelor and Master degrees from the University of Minnesota School of Journalism. In the 1970’s he was president of the Journalism’s Alumni Society.
Frank was active in several Twin Cities charities including The Courage Center, Camp Courage and Interfaith Outreach Food Shelf in Wayzata. He received the WCCO Good Neighbor Award for his 45 years of coordinating the Courage Center Holiday party. Most recently he was a volunteer at the Buffalo Toy Shop.
Funeral Mass will be held at Holy Name of Jesus Church, 155 County Road 24, Wayzata, MN, on Tuesday, October 22 nd at 11:00 am. Visitation is one hour before the funeral with a luncheon to follow. The internment will be private at Holy Name Cemetery.
