Frank Davis

Frank Davis, 95, of Plymouth, MN passed on 11/25/2023. Frank was born in Crookston, MN on February 22nd, 1928 and was the third of five children of William and Lillian (Flewell) Davis.

He grew up on a farm at Harold Station, near Crookston and attended school at the one room school house until 8th grade followed by cow college (agricultural school). He worked for Coca-Cola and later put up power lines working with his brother. Frank served in the Army from 1950 to 1952 and built bridges in Germany during the Korean War. After the war, he attended Dunwoody and got his degree in sheet metal work. During his career, Frank spent the majority of his time working at Vogt Heating and Air Conditioning. He was dedicated to his work and took pride in his contributions.

Frank never stopped moving and could be found working in his garden, tinkering in his garage, taking walks, and getting coffee with friends at McDonald's. He also cherished the time he spent working at his farm in Wisconsin where he often spent his weekends. In his later years at his assisted living facility, he found joy in playing bingo and attending exercise classes. Frank was humble, generous and kind - a faithful friend to all that got to know him. A man of ageless integrity, he always instilled in himself, and those around him, a tireless work ethic.

Frank was a dedicated family man and is survived by his two daughters, Karen Montgomery (Jack) of Dittmer, MO, and Elizabeth Jo Davis (Jesse) of St. Louis Park, MN; and eight step-children: Judy (Jim) Bolduc, Linda (Kevin) McElroy, Barry (LaRaa) Super, Chuck Super, Ben (Connie) Super, Angel (Greg) Vernon, Robert (Sarah) Super, and John (Jodi) Super. Frank was a loving grandfather to 22 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister-in-law, Doris Davis.

Frank was preceded in death by his parents, William and Lillian Davis, as well as his siblings Bernard Davis, Lester Davis, Stanley Davis, and Marian Knipe. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Ann Davis, his first wife, Ruth Alexander Davis, and his children, Scott Davis, infant James, and infant Karen.
