Floyd H. Fahlin, 84, of New Hope, passed away Sunday, Feb. 12, 2017.
Floyd grew up in Kennsington, Minnesota on the family farm. He served in the Army during the Korean War as a member of the Military Police and was stationed in Japan. He married Judy Millett on July 16, 1960, they were faithfully married until her passing in 2000. He enjoyed a long career as a bus driver for Greyhound Lines and later worked for Airport Express. Floyd enjoyed hunting on the family farm, fishing on Oscar lake, camping, golfing and snowmobiling. He had two daughters and five grandchildren and enjoyed spending time with them. In 1995 he suffered a debilitating stroke that left his left side paralyzed. But he was able to live independently in assisted living until recently. He is still remembered for telling jokes and stories. We love you and will miss you!
He was preceded in death by wife, Judy (Millett) and parents, Herman and Gladys (Syvertson) Fahlin.
Floyd is survived by daughters, Leanna (Mark) Zimmerman and Linda (Michael) Snyder; grandchildren, Shaunna, Daniel, Matthew, Anne and Ryan; sister, Virginia Makela; brother, David (Eleanor) Fahlin; many nieces and nephews.
Memorials preferred.
