Fr. Paul A. LaFontaine

Called home to God on December 10 after a lengthy struggle with pulmonary fibrosis—requiescat in pace.

Ordained June 3, 1972 & faithfully served the Cathedral of St. Paul, Sacred Heart (Robbinsdale), St. John Vianney (S. St. Paul), St. Columba (St. Paul), St. Charles Borromeo (St. Anthony Village), & the St. Paul Seminary. May Jesus the Good Shepherd have mercy & reward him for his labors in the vineyard of the Lord!

Preceded in death by parents Nicholas & Mary Dolores (McNeely) as well as brother David & infant sister Mary.

Survived by sister-in-law Mary & nieces & nephews Susan Pederson (Sean, dec. 2018), Michael (Laura), Gregory (Michele), & Eileen LaFontaine, Catherine (Tim) Vaughn, & grandnieces Anna, Kathleen, & Olivia, & grandnephew Nick.

Memorials preferred to Little Sisters of the Poor in gratitude for their loving care. Pray for vocations!

Solemn vespers at St. Paul Seminary on Sunday Dec. 16 at 7pm begins public visitation lasting until 10pm.

Reviewal at 8:30 am & Mass of Christian Burial at 10am on Monday Dec. 17 at The Church of St. Charles Borromeo (2739 Stinson Blvd, St. Anthony Village).

Interment at Resurrection Cemetery (Mendota Heights).
