Everett Lewis Klosterman, 79, of Plymouth, Minnesota passed away November 6, 2022. He was born on November 21, 1942 in Spokane, Washington to Dorothy D. (Fox) and Francis C. Klosterman. He was raised in La Porte City, Iowa. He attended the University of Iowa in Iowa City and graduated in 1965.

On September 5, 1964 he married Jane A. Bettis at Sacred Heart Church in Waterloo, Iowa. After graduation they moved to Illinois and raised a son Jeff and a daughter Jill. Everett worked for Arthur Andersen Accounting Firm in Chicago. He began work at WGN Continental Broadcasting Company in Chicago in 1970. In 1978 the family moved to Plymouth, Minnesota and Everett joined Midwest Communications (WCCO-AM/TV and WLTE-FM). He later worked for Midwest Sports Channel and Fox Sports North until he retired in 2010.

Everett was an avid sports fan who enjoyed the Vikings, the Twins, and the Gophers (especially hockey). He and Jane enjoyed many, many years of bridge games with the Greentree West Bridge Group. Everett spent many days playing golf with friends and associates. He loved visiting his grandchildren in Arkansas most of all. He and Jane enjoyed traveling near and far. Everett was a Eucharistic minister for several parishes for over 45 years, the last being at Holy Name of Jesus of Medina.

He was preceded in death by his father Francis, his mother Dorothy, and his step-father Donald E. Rundel. He is survived by his wife of 58 years Jane A. (Bettis) Klosterman, son Jeff (Denise) Klosterman, daughter Jill (Michael) DeLon, and grandchildren Caleb (Rachel) DeLon, Jeremy (Kayla) DeLon, Elliana and Jenna DeLon.

Funeral Mass will be 11 am Friday, November 18th at Holy Name of Jesus in Medina, Minnesota (155 County Rd 24, Wayzata, 55391 ). Visitation will be at the church 1 hour before the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the American Heart Association or the charity of your choice.
