Emma Ruth (Busenitz) Becker passed away peacefully on October 7, 2020, at the age of 74. Emma Ruth Busentiz was born in Whitewater, Kansas to Willie and Emma (Wiebe) Busenitz. She graduated from Berean Academy in 1965 and Grace Bible Institute in 1969. She and Arlowe, her husband of 51 years, spent many years serving on the mission field in Ecuador. For the past 35 years they have lived in the New Hope/Plymouth, Minnesota area. She was an advocate and loving caretaker for her family. She valiantly battled cancer multiple times and always faced her trials trusting that God would provide, with an attitude that he would bring her through it. Wednesday she left her earthly body behind and is now walking with Jesus where there is no sorrow or pain.
Emma leaves behind her husband, Arlowe; children, Timothy (Spring), Michael (Dierdra), Steven and Cynthia; grandchildren, Nat, Emma, Katie, Grant, Mason, Christina, Micah and Anna; siblings, William Busenitz of Potwin, Kansas, Arnold Busenitz (Velma) of Newton, David Busenitz (Isabelle) of Topeka, Kansas, Kady Schubert (Jan) of Omaha, Nebraska and Christina Busenitz of Guinea, West Africa; brother-in-law, Henry Ortmann of Wolfpoint, Montana; sisters-in-law, Fran Busenitz of Madison, Georgia, Barbara Busenitz of Benton, Kansas and Patti Busenitz of Whitewater; and many nieces and nephews.
Waiting for Emma’s arrival in heaven were her parents, Willie and Emma Busenitz; three brothers, Gilbert, Robert and Herbert Busenitz; sisters, Helen Busenitz and Theresa Ortmann; and sister-in-law, Grace Busenitz.

. Due to current restrictions, the church is not able to serve a meal afterwards. A livestream video of Emma’s service will be available on funeral home website on the date of service. Interment at Maple Knoll Cemetery.
In order to limit the size of the gathering, the family requests that the invitation be especially for friends and family who knew Emma and Arlowe. For those who are not able to come, the service will be both live-streamed and recorded for viewing later. Masks are required by both the church and the funeral home.
Memorials can be sent to PRI, the program that Steven and Cynthia have been attending for the past 15 years.
