Elvira Hanson, age 97 of Savage went to be with the Lord on July 1.
Elvira was born on Oct 1, 1920, the oldest of 7 children. She grew up on a farm near Winthrop, MN. In 1948, she met Miles Hanson at a Mpls business school, and they married shortly after. Together, they started Auto-Miles, an auto parts wholesaler.
Elvira is survived by 3 children, Susan(Bucky), Mark(Nancy), Tim (Kim), 9 grandchildren, Shawn, Chad, Kari (Eric), Matt, Adam, Jacob, Michael, Shelby, Eric and 2 siblings Carol, Bill(MaryAnn). She was preceded in death by Miles, 4 siblings and daughter in law Cheryl.
Elvira was a wonderful mother and grandmother and was always helping family and friends with whatever was needed. Favorite memories include family gatherings and summers at the Sugar Lake cabin. Elvira will be greatly missed! A special Thank You to the staff of Touching Lives for their loving care and compassion.
