Olson, Elizabeth A.   "Betty"

age 92 of Robbinsdale passed away October 5th, 2024. Betty was born March 14th, 1932 in Robbinsdale. She attended Sacred Heart School and graduated from Robbinsdale High School. She was married to Everett Skare, and together they raised their three children Cindy, Pam and Joe. She was later married to Walter Earl Olson from 1981 until his passing in 2012. Betty spent most of her life in Robbinsdale which she affectionately referred to as "Birdville". She was an employee of Norcostco Northwestern Costume / Knight's Formal Wear as an executive secretary to the president of the company. She was also an active member of Sacred Heart Church until her move to memory care at Urbana Place Senior Living, where she was fondly know as "Betty from Robbinsdale," in 2020. Betty was a member of Business and Professional Women (BPW) for many years and served as president. Some of her interests include golf, traveling (2 trips to Ireland, several trips to Puerto Vallarta), entertaining, Frank Sinatra music, Christmas, the color red, warm sunshine and time with family and friends She had a wonderful fulfilled life and will be greatly missed.

She is preceded in death by husband and father of Cindy, Pam and Joe, Everett Skare and husband Walter Earl Olson; daughter, Pam (Skare) Walters; son, Ron Olson; sisters, Mary Krogstad and Dodie Lawrence.

 She is survived by daughter, Cindy (Rick) Purnick; son, Joe (Carmen) Skare; siblings, Carol (Dennis) Kelly and Gene Bauer; brother-in-law, Bruce Krogstad; sons, Wally (Barb) Olson and John Olson; grandchildren, great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. Mass of Christian Burial 10am Monday, October 14th at the Church of the Sacred Heart in Robbinsdale MN. Visitation one hour prior to the Mass. Interment Gethsemane Cemetery.
