Elizabeth "Betty" Loso

Loso, Elizabeth "Betty" age 82 of North Minneapolis on 11/12/20.

The "Ambassador of Sunshine" has gone on to spread her beauty, joy and humor in Heaven, where many loved ones have waited her arrival. Betty was born on a winters day in her family's home above Loso's store in St. Joseph Mn. Her family consisted of three brothers, Marty, Bob and Tom, sister, Mary Ann and her parents Martin and Rose Loso. Of her family, her brother Tom survives her. The family moved to North Minneapolis where Betty loved and attended Ascension grade school and church, and was active in both, forming life long friendships and happy memories.

She attended St. Anthony of Padua high school, she graduated in 1955. She worked for prudential after high school, was married and had four children. Betty was an amazing mother, treasured by her children. She was an active member for many years at St. Austins Parish. Our dear mother was a gifted artist, skilled at painting, sketching, sculpting, sewing, gardening and decorating. She was a visionary of possibilities and possessed the skills to make magic happen. She choose to use her talents creating a beautiful and unique home much to the joy of her children. Later she worked for the Volunteers of America at the Jewish Community Center in St. Louis Park. She was in charge of the senior dining program, where she used her many talents and was well loved.

After retiring from Volunteers of America, Betty became an adult foster care provider. She provided a cozy, loving home and emotional support to vulnerable adults. Wise and uplifting, she was a natural counselor. If you came to Betty with your life's woes, she would lift your spirits, you would always feel happier and hopeful. Her sense of humor pulled people close to her, and was contagious. She was the Pied Piper to her grandchildren, all wanting to sit by her or pile on top of her, they adored her and she them. She will be greatly missed by her family, we will hold her in our hearts always. Her legacy of love and humor will live on and on.

She is survived by her children, Michael (Sherri) Loso, Therese (Scott) Wallner, Jenny (Tim) Hart, Robert (Patti) Loso; grandchildren, Nick, Alex, Tiffany, Danny, Anna, Matthew, Bailey, Kathryn, Jack, Mary, and Valerie; great-grandchildren, Audrey, Naomi, Sophia and Avery.  Many nieces, nephews and friends.
